Legacy of Light International is an organization committed to community development in Africa, with its primary focus on Rundu, Namibia.

What began as a personal mission to create opportunities for youth and families without access to education has grown into a movement that brings light, knowledge and opportunities where they are needed most.
We are a young organization with a big vision.
Legacy of Light International was born when Mirjam from the Netherlands and Jean-Mary from Namibia connected online and shared their dreams. What began as a simple conversation about hope, education, and change grew into a shared mission: building bridges between continents, hearts, and generations.
Two people, one vision — to bring light where there is darkness, to create opportunity where there is lack, and to create lasting change through education, craftsmanship, and awareness.

Legacy of Light offers not only training but also inspiration—we build people from within. By combining practical training with spiritual growth, we help communities create their own future.
What does Legacy of Light do?
Legacy of Light International has begun construction of a vocational and community center in Rundu Kavango East, Namibia, where young people, parents, and the community can gain practical skills, knowledge, and personal development. The center will be built gradually and will grow with the needs of the community.
Every person has potential that can shine when given the right opportunities and guidance. With our mission, we want to amplify that light, so that young people and parents aren't just surviving, but growing and contributing to their communities.

Here, in the heart of Rundu, we first met the community. What began as words through a screen became reality when we could look each other in the eye. In that moment, everything felt right—a deep connection, a shared hope, and the knowledge that this was the place where change could begin.
